In the region are many activities and attractions. As Bjursås are in the heartland of Dalarna, you are well positioned to discover all that the region has to offer.
To mention a few: Within 20 minutes from Bjursås is the small city of Falun with its world heritage wooden buildings and Copper Mine Museum. Less then one hour drive are the homes (turned museums) for two of Sweden’s most renowned painters (Carl Larsson and Anders Zorn). Within approximately 30 minutes is both the spectacular open-air cultural arena Dalhalla where world artists perform during summer as well as the beautiful villages of Tällberg and Vikarbyn.
During summer, the days are long and night is bright. The lake is warm and the bathing area with its shallow shore-line makes it a wonderful spot. Next to the lake is a small playground with swings, mini-golf, beach-volley, boulé and café. To go out on the lake you can use the canoes, paddling-boat and row-boat - perhaps to go fishing.
On the Bjursås-mountain there are good tracks for hiking and biking, with different alternatives for beginners and experts. When time for pause, you can find huts as well as fire-places/grills with rain and wind protection. In the surrounding area are lots of sights and attractions - some listed on UN's world heritage.
